Tales of Toddler Time

So this past week I became a little more famous. A reporter came to story time and took pictures and quotes. The article appeared yesterday in the local paper.

The Caption read,"Young listeners listen to a story told by Dallin Blankenship during Toddler Time at the Provo City Library Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010. MARK JOHNSTON/Daily Herald"

This is the article that went with it: "More than 900 children visit the library each week just for the programs including Story Time and Toddler Time, which run Monday through Friday in both Spanish and English and in age specific groups. "We want to offer something to engage them on their level," said Carla Morris, the children's services manager at the library, which is well known for its age-appropriate programs. Story Time performers are employees of the library who return each time to provide a familiar face and style for the kids to enjoy and feel at ease with. Dallin Blankenship has been telling stories at the library for a year and a half and enjoys his time performing for children. 'It doesn't feel like work at all,' he said. 'I really think the world would be a better place if everyone got up and shook their sillies out.'"
